Pat Silbert

The new series of paintings, Earth in Beauty Dressed, are in acrylic on canvas with handmade paper collaged on to canvas with gold leaf. She also works on paper in oil pastel and “en plein air” on canvas with oils.

Silbert has shown in the Washington, D.C. area for many years at Zenith Gallery, Kornblatt Gallery, Fendrick gallery, and others. She studied at George Washington University, The Corcoran Art School and holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College. Silbert worked successfully for many years as a graphic designer and is also an ac- complished portrait artist specializing in “informal family portraits,” oil pastels on paper of children and parents. Her paintings and drawings are part of prominent collections, both corporate and private. She lives in the Washington, D.C. area and in Jaffrey, New Hampshire in the summer. She is a dedicated gardener.
